Little Corn Island Snorkeling
Not certified as a diver or just want added enjoyment? Snorkel Little Corn Island’s barrier reef. With minimal currents, warm Caribbean waters, relatively healthy reefs, abundant Fauna and easy access, anyone, young or old can enjoy the bounty of Little Corn’s undersea world. You can see Sharks, Eagle Rays, Octopus, Lobster, Eels, Starfish, Seahorses and fish a plenty.
You may prefer swimming out to the reefs just off the beaches or taking a guided tour (or both). Little Corn Island Beach and Bungalow a Boutique Beach Front Resort can help provide exactly what you need to have an unforgettable snorkeling experience. Own a great set of snorkel gear? Bring them along on the trip. Or save some space as you travel as with our RADDeal package, you get a discount on guided snorkel tours to the interior of the reef!
There are numerous snorkeling trips available from tour operators and island locals. These typically last 2 to 4 hours and cost approximately $25 to $40 per person. We recommend one of the Corn Islands most competent, oldest and friendly snorkel excursions, Captain Peter. After an 10 year association with Captain Peter, we know his team will pick you up right on the Little Corn Island Beach and Bungalow’s beach and whisk you away to a wonderland of Flora and Fauna. RADDeal guests receive a discount too!
While the best snorkeling reef with the easiest access from the island is located on the northern tip of Little Corn (we are located on the eastern side of island), it is only a relatively short walk (10 to 15 minutes) from Little Corn Island Beach and Bungalow. There are also good reefs to explore on the eastern side of the island inside the reef where its protective embrace shields you from the breaking waves of the beautiful Caribbean Sea (weather permitting).
Remember, as with everything you might choose to do on Little Corn Island, you snorkel at your own risk. But for many, what little risk there is, it is a risk worth taking and a memory that lasts a lifetime.
